- VIRTUALLY THROUGHOUT GEORGIA - Over four (4) days, NAACP Georgia State President convened a Statewide Listening Tour for all of the 180 branches of the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP. The meeting was very successful as he met with over 200 members of the branches of the NAACP in Georgia. Numerous topics were lifted from Voter Mobilization to Unit Capacity Building. The theme of the listening Tour was Moving Forward in Unity. President Gerald Griggs focused on informing the units and members about the vision for the future of the State Conference and the pathway to get there.
Further, President Griggs stated, "I hope that in the future the State Conference will have regular quarterly meetings with all units in this listening tour format. Moreover, if it is the will of the membership, we will convene to learn, discuss best practices, and address the immediate concerns of the Units."
