GEORGIA STATE PRESIDENT GERALD GRIGGS ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID.
Updated: Aug 19, 2023
After careful deliberation and extensive consultations, Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs has officially declared his candidacy for reelection, vying for another term as President of the Georgia NAACP. With his tenure spanning nearly a year and a half, President Griggs firmly believes that there remains unfinished business in Georgia, requiring concerted efforts to propel the State Conference towards further progress.
Building upon the triumph of extensive voter mobilization in 2022, active advocacy for numerous civil rights cases in Georgia, and the strategic reorganization of the State Conference, President Griggs holds a steadfast belief in the potential for even greater achievements. He envisions a promising framework that lays the groundwork for enhanced success moving forward.
In a statement, President Griggs expressed, "There is still more work ahead of us to increase the number of units, champion the needs of more families, and safeguard Civil Rights in Georgia. With the support of all the units and members, we can continue to move Georgia Forward."
