Georgia NAACP Triumphs at the Capitol: A Historic Founders Day & Legislative Advocacy Success!

On February 12, 2025, the Georgia NAACP commemorated its 116th Founders Day with a highly successful Legislative Day at the Georgia State Capitol. The event brought together members, legislators, and community advocates to honor the organization's rich history and address pressing issues affecting communities across the state.


The day commenced at 9:00 AM, focusing on pivotal topics such as voter education and nonpartisan matters.Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with legislators and coalition partners, fostering meaningful dialogues on policies impacting their communities.



In a significant gesture, the Georgia House of Representatives adopted House Resolution 239, commemorating the 116th Founders Day of the NAACP. Representative Teddy Reese acknowledged the organization's unwavering commitment to justice and equality, inviting local NAACP leaders to stand and be recognized for their invaluable contributions to civil rights.




The event was widely celebrated across social media platforms.
