GEORGIA IS BREAKING EARLY VOTE NUMBERS AS VOTERS SURGE TO THE POLLS.
(Atlanta) – Georgia voters surpassed the first week 2020 Presidential Election record for Early Voting. As of Sunday morning, just over 740,615 Georgia voters have cast their ballot during in-person Early Voting, with 150,000 showing up on Saturday, October 22nd. Georgia has had record early voting turnout since the first day of Early Voting this year, surging to nearly twice the number on the first day of Early Voting in 2018. Yesterday’s total marks the first time 2022 Early Voting surpassed the Presidential Election totals.The Georgia NAACP strongly encourages people to vote early and #PowerYourVote. Georgia State President Gerald Griggs urges voters to "Stay in line, bring your patience, have our id, and make sure your voice is heard."
